“Whole industries are growing together, forming new ecosystems around customer demands,” said Eberhard Weiblen, CEO of Porsche Consulting, at the opening of the first “Health and Sports Ecosystem Lounge” in Munich. Porsche Consulting welcomed numerous decision-makers and innovators from the Life Science and Consumer Goods industries to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the two merging markets of digital services and innovative products in the health sector.

The event format and moderation by health podcaster Inga Bergen resulted in inspiring as well as controversial discussions. Martin Böhm, Chief Experience Officer, and Heinrich Popow, Global Liaison Manager & Brand Ambassador, from Ottobock shared their expertise in transforming the company towards a true user-centric company, enhanced by user-generated stories. Melanie Lauer, CEO of Kettler Sport by Trisport AG, predicted that the trend for at-home-training will continue – even after the pandemic. Katrin Pucknat, President Germany of ResMed, talked about the benefits of sleep and new ways of generating data about it. Ottonova CEO Roman-Marcus Rittweger talked about the problems of providing easy-to-use digital services and strategies to cooperate in an ecosystem. Dr. Roman Hipp, Senior Partner Life Science at Porsche Consulting, had the pleasure to moderate an insightful panel about new business models with Gloria Seibert, CEO of Temedica, Dr. Sophie Chung, CEO of Qunomedical, and Maximilian Waldmann, CEO of Eterno Health. All panelists agreed that immense power lies within the intelligent use of data. “It is important that common data standards for complex health issues are established properly to collaborate within the health ecosystem,” summarized Dr. Roman Hipp, Senior Partner Life Sciences at Porsche Consulting.
